Top 5 Games That Flopped in 2022

Here are the top five games that didn’t live up to expectations this year per Gaming.Net and https://www.acepokies.com/real-money-casinos/.

  1. The Last of Us 2

We’ll probably have mixed views on this one. Particularly because The Last of Us was a banger. But it’s for this exact reason that the sequel, The Last of Us 2, made it to this list of the five most disappointing games of 2022 (so far). To recap, The Last of Us was a whirlwind of incredibly satisfying gameplay. Everything from the narrative to the aesthetics to the script was undeniably great, so great that we had such high expectations for the sequel, only to have them thwarted. Now, on a technical level, the game still holds the potential to turn a dull afternoon into time well spent playing it. But the narrative does close to nothing to maintain the high standard set by its predecessor.

  1. Diablo Immortal

We bet it’s no surprise for Diablo Immortal to make the list of the top five most disappointing games of 2022 (so far). The game takes place between the stories of Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. While these predecessors were spectacular hack and slash fun playtimes, Diablo Immortal employs a pay-to-win system in a way that completely ruins the game. Its user ratings are terrible, with a 0.4 overwhelming dislike rating on Metacritic. It’s just a shame that if all the annoying ways to take users’ money were removed, Diablo Immortal would be a fantastic game to play on the go.

  1. Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong

Vampire: The Masquerade—Swansong is a part of the tabletop RPG Vampire: The Masquerade franchise, which is a part of the larger World of Darkness series. Consequently, there was a certain caliber of quality players expected from the game. Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is an example of an overly ambitious title that fails to live up to its promises. In the beginning, the concepts and ideas were so exciting that we couldn’t wait to play the final product. Unfortunately, it failed to deliver the actual product that matters most.

  1. The Avengers

It’s no secret that Marvel games, and superhero games in general, have a stellar reputation for producing some of the best games ever made. In particular, SpiderMan is a game that fans fell in love with right away. Furthermore, the Avengers films are quite remarkable, which helped to raise expectations for an unforgettable Marvel video game adaptation. Unfortunately, Square Enix broke many people’s hearts. The trailer release was off. Following its release, the game had many loading and technical issues. Aside from technical issues, the game relies too heavily on the superhero characters’ flashy moves. Hulk smashing things, Thor hammering things, and so on. Strip away all the Marvel niceties and you have yourself a good old-fashioned repetitive, boring game unlike the ones at best payout casino online.

  1. Babylon’s Fall

Babylon’s Fall took so long to launch that many of its fans were beyond shocked when it finally did. Platinum Games is a well-known developer in the industry who has created some fantastic titles in the past. So it’s hard to understand why they’d release an obviously unfinished, clunky product. Perhaps the game was underfunded or lacked the necessary resources to smooth things out. In any case, Babylon’s Fall is not only one of the five most disappointing games of 2022 but also one of the worst games ever created.
